Three Interaction UIs
1. Entry Geek UI (default)
For tech-savvy beginners or "lazy" geeks. Highlights:
- Home page network / disk / Docker wizards for quick setup
- Fixes many awkward OpenWrt issues (Samba user management, disk mounting, etc.)
- Handy home tools: online upgrade, error detection, graphical port configuration
- Common features: DDNS, Docker configuration, etc.
- iStore app center with offline package support
- Anti-trap operations:
- Rescue mode: recover even from a fully bricked firmware (currently only on ARS2 hardware)
- Sandbox mode: boot into a USB-drive sandbox; unplug the drive to return to the previous state
2. Beginner Router UI
The standard beginner router version, stripped of complex features, back to essential routing:
- Ideal for router vendors to preinstall for customers
- Install iStoreX from the app center, then re-login to enter this UI
3. Lite NAS UI
If you're not a heavy BT downloader and don't need video transcoding, a soft router as NAS works fine. Features:
- RAID arrays
- S.M.A.R.T detection
- Private cloud drive: via the Easy Cloud plugin
- Photo auto backup: via the Easy Cloud plugin
- Multi-device sync: via the Easy Cloud plugin
- Remote networking: via the Easy Cloud plugin
- Remote domain access: via the DDNSTO plugin
- App center: NasTool, Jellyfin, download tools and more
Note: the Lite NAS UI is still under active development.
Sandbox Mode & Rescue Mode
- Sandbox mode: boot via USB drive; all installs and updates happen in the sandbox; unplug the drive to roll back — also the simplest way to expand the system
- Rescue mode: recover even from a fully bricked firmware (currently only ARS2 hardware)
